Episode 8 - Reasons Not to Die vs Reasons to Live

This week on Chop Water Carry Wood we talk about suicidal thoughts. I wanted to share with the mental health community that I have struggled with suicidal thoughts for years. Moreso when I was a late teenager and in my early 20s but I still have these thoughts.

Generally, people practicing in mental health care are discouraged from talking about this. I, however, am not ashamed of this fact, and want to help people understand they should not be ashamed of it either. After all, how are we supposed to help end stigma in mental health if we continue to propagate it with, at best our silence, at worst, our indifference, or shame.

Thanks again for coming here and for watching. If you find this helpful, please share it.
